State and Local Tax
Overview
Conner & Winters assists clients in understanding state and local tax issues for all jurisdictions in which the Firm practices. Our attorneys assist with the state and local tax implications of mergers and acquisitions, multistate operations, and regulatory compliance. As only one example, Oklahoma is one of the few states that does not provide a casual sale exemption for sales tax purposes for the sale of assets of a business.
In addition to planning and transactional work, we assist in litigation arising from governmental assessments with respect to a variety of state and local taxes, including income, sales, use, estate, ad valorem (property), production, and withholding. We have extensive experience with specialized issues that impact the aviation, energy, and transportation and logistics industries.
