Employment Litigator Donn Meindertsma Retires After 37-Year-Long Legal Career
Tulsa, Oklahoma (September 30, 2024) – Conner & Winters announces the retirement of Washington D.C partner Donn Meindertsma and congratulates him on a successful law career of over 35 years in practice.
“It was an absolute pleasure and honor to be a partner at Conner & Winters for over 19 years, and I will treasure the many great relationships I built with clients and colleagues,” reflected Meindertsma, who plans on spending quality time with his children and grandchildren in retirement.

During his tenure at Conner & Winters, Donn anchored the firm’s Washington, D.C. office as a reliable and effective advocate on labor and employment matters for clients across the country, ranging from Fortune 100 companies to local employers. While he handled matters primarily in the energy and transportation sectors, clients from a variety of industries turned to Donn for his empathy, diligence, and commitment to doing things the right way. He has appeared before federal and state courts across the country, the Department of Labor, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, National Labor Relations Board, and has drafted several amicus briefs to the Supreme Court of the United States.
Donn authored several published works related to employment law and the nuclear energy industry, including The Nuclear Leader’s Guide to a Safety Conscious Work Environment (2018) and Marijuana and the District of Columbia: A Comprehensive Guide for Employers (2018).
Prior to joining Conner & Winters in 2005, Donn was an associate and partner in the Washington, D.C. office of Winston & Strawn. Donn earned his law degree from the University of Michigan Law School.
