CW Attorney Kathryn Burnett Earns Certification in Healthcare Compliance
Conner & Winters, LLP is pleased to announce that Kathryn S. Burnett has successfully completed the Compliance Certification Board’s Certified in Healthcare Compliance (CHC) Examination, earning the “CHC” credential designation.
The CHC Examination was developed by the Compliance Certification Board to evaluate competence in the practice of healthcare compliance at a variety of levels and to recognize individuals achieving competency criteria. Since the CHC examination was released in June of 2000, the CHC designation has been earned by more than 4,500 professionals from a variety of fields, including law, government, medicine, nursing, coding, and medical records. CHC-certified professionals are tasked with assuring that health care providers have the information necessary to follow the federal, state, and local laws that govern the delivery of healthcare.
Ms. Burnett is a partner in the firm’s Healthcare Practice Group. Practicing primarily in healthcare compliance, Ms. Burnett counsels clients on issues related to provider reimbursement, medical and dental practice, facility surveys and licensure, and compliance program creation and implementation. Ms. Burnett performs compliance program effectiveness audits of client’s compliance programs, and represents clients facing billing, coding, and integrity audits by government and private insurers.
