Sydny Helbert is an associate attorney with the Corporate & Securities practice group at Conner & Winters. Her practice focuses on general corporate matters, mergers and acquisitions and business transactions for the aviation industry.

Sydny’s general corporate counseling practices includes advising clients on formation matters, employment and equity incentive arrangements, trademark and other IP registrations, and general commercial contract negotiations.

 Sydny’s recent M&A experience includes the following: 

• $50M sale of a dental practice management software company to private equity.
• $30M sale of a manufacturer of proprietary pet products to a family office.
• Complex clubbing arrangement of HNWIs and their subsequent acquisition of a commercial electrical supply company.
• Sale of majority ownership of a media production company to private investors.
• Staffing software company in its $5M sale to a strategic acquirer.

Sydny is also involved with aviation business transactions, with a particular emphasis on the purchase, sale, leasing, financing, and servicing of aviation assets operating in the United States and abroad. She represents clients through all stages of the transaction and beyond from due diligence and the negotiation of commercial terms through letter of intent, document preparation, closing, amendments and lease returns.

Prior to joining Conner & Winters, Sydny was corporate and securities counsel at the Securities Transfer Corporation, which operates as a full-service stock transfer agent. She earned her law degree from Southern Methodist University’s Dedman School of Law, where she was a Dean's Scholarship recipient and a member of the Corporate Law Association. Sydny is also a magna cum laude graduate of Texas Tech University, with a degree in business administration.
