Profile
Chris Warzecha primarily practices in the areas of civil, business and appellate litigation, with an emphasis on disputes arising out of commercial construction projects. He also has broad experience drafting, negotiating and interpreting commercial construction contracts for clients. His experience includes trial practice in both state and federal courts on behalf of clients representing a wide array of industries in addition to construction, including banking, commercial property, energy, health care, insurance and manufacturing.
Mr. Warzecha earned his Juris Doctor degree with honors from the University of Arkansas School of Law, and received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Journalism from the University of Arkansas. While in law school, Mr. Warzecha served as an editor of the Arkansas Law Review. Mr. Warzecha is a member of the American Bar Association, the Oklahoma Bar Association, and the Tulsa County Bar Association.
Experience
- Served as co-counsel in federal trial defending regional retailer against claims alleging violations of the Fair Credit Reporting Act
- Served as lead counsel for hospital in non-jury trial of claims for statutory attorney fees involving multiple expert witnesses
- Obtained partial reversal of adverse trial-court judgment against local hospital in state-court appeal, reducing amount of judgment by nearly $1.5 million
- Represented multiple general contractors in complex, multi-party litigation arising from multi-million-dollar commercial construction projects
- Represented numerous construction contractors and material suppliers in asserting contract claims against property owners or upstream contractors, including filing and prosecuting mechanic and materialman lien claims
- Represented multiple large energy companies in complex, multi-million-dollar litigation arising from contract disputes
- Represented venture capital firm and its principals in complex, multi-million-dollar litigation against successful start-up company and individual members of its board of directors
- Represented homeowner against national roofing-material manufacturer in obtaining all proceeds owed under manufacturer’s product warranty
- Represented multiple commercial-property owners in numerous actions to evict defaulting tenants and collect unpaid rents
- Defended multiple home-health companies and not-for-profit agencies against personal injury and wrongful death claims
