Randy Jones’ legal practice includes the following areas: federal and state energy regulatory matters, administrative hearings and litigation; commercial law and litigation; environmental law due diligence reviews, administrative proceedings and litigation; alternative dispute resolution; mediations and arbitrations; general civil litigation and appeals; international litigation and arbitrations; construction law and litigation; admiralty law; and juvenile litigation.

Mr. Jones has extensive experience representing clients with oil pipeline matters before the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission and the Regulatory Commission of Alaska.  That experience includes litigation, administrative hearings and arbitration proceedings.  Mr. Jones has negotiated domestic and international commercial transactions involving oil pipelines and refineries, natural gas pipelines and plants, electric generating facilities and coal mines.  He has served as Vice President and General Counsel of a petroleum refining, gasoline marketing, and crude oil trading company.  He has also served as General Manager of Coal Sales both domestically and internationally.

Mr. Jones has extensive expertise in handling environmental matters including: due diligence reviews, federal and state consent orders, permitting, variance hearings, hazardous waste disposal, and litigation.  His has considerable domestic and international experience in commercial trials, appeals, arbitrations and mediations as plaintiff and defendant, mergers and acquisitions, commercial law, and admiralty matters.  He has previously negotiated commercial transactions with governmental entities and/or private companies in Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Japan.  Mr. Jones’ diverse background includes successful representation of children in judicial abuse/neglect proceedings and trials.  Mr. Jones is also certified as a commercial mediator.
