Doug Rather has practiced in the area of general corporate matters and mergers and acquisitions for over 25 years.  Mr. Rather has worked both in private practice and as in-house counsel.  In his business-oriented practice he emphasizes tax planning, and he is regularly consulted by other members of the firm’s corporate securities group for his tax expertise and his experience in developing executive and broad-based equity compensation plans.  Mr. Rather is listed in The Best Lawyers in America in the Tax category.  In his career he has represented oil and gas exploration and development companies, drilling companies, real estate investment trusts, power plant developers, a tobacco manufacturer and medical practice groups.
